BBQ Night {Anantara Eastern Mangroves Pool Deck}

 Just as the weather is cooling off in Abu Dhabi, the BBQs are coming out!  With so many to choose from....my favorite BBQ of the season, so far, is the Thursday night event at Anantara Eastern Mangroves.  It is a large event that stretches across the entire pool area.  Infact, you are literally so close, you have to pay attention not to accidentally step in the pool.  No looking backward at the chocolate cheesecakes while you walk!

The atmosphere is everything you could want in a Thursday night.  Lots of people (but not too many) great music (but not too loud) and the buzz is energetic. The staff is super friendly, helpful and diners from all sorts...couples, groups, friends, families and you can tell that everyone is excited to celebrate the end of the week.

  I was really impressed with the array of offerings.  Just to name a few....seriously juicy BBQ meats and fish, freshly made sushi, a live carving station, and Indian, Arabic and Thai specialties galore.  This is not really just a BBQ...but a serious "brunch".  Have a request for a special pasta? Go to the pasta station and they will do their best to create it.  Do you want hot tempura fried on demand,  then head to the Japanese chef.  Have kids that only eat french fries? No problem!

And not only is the food quantity vast, but it is also very well executed (and displayed).  The meats are moist and flavorful, the tempura is hot, crispy and light... and desserts are all too tempting to have only a taste.  If there is one BBQ that I would attend this season (but why would anyone only go once??)  it would be Anantara's.  Bring your friends and fam, sit by the glowing pool as the sun sets into the night, and look out onto the Mangroves.  And for those of you that like to celebrate just a little more, there is an alcohol package available, and they have a full bar for any special requests.
